Northeast Health Direct takes great care to insure that your needs are met quickly and efficiently.

Here are some suggestions that we recommend to facilitate meeting your healthcare needs.

Choose and visit a primary care physician for your routine health care needs.

Always have your ID card with you when you call or visit a provider.

To verify provider information, use our convenient provider search tool.

OK, take me to the provider search page.

When you call for an appointment, ALWAYS tell the provider that you are a Northeast Health Direct member.

If the provider has questions regarding Northeast or network participation, ask the provider to call Northeast at 1-800-423-6619 for verification of participation.

If your primary physician needs to refer you to a specialist, ask the physician’s office to select a provider from the Northeast directory or have them call Northeast at 1-800-423-6619 for current provider information.

To verify eligibility or benefit coverage, you or the provider should contact your benefits administrator.

Pre-certification: Requirements for certain inpatient admissions and outpatient procedures are listed on your ID card. Please make sure your provider is aware of your pre-certification requirements and calls the number listed on your ID card if necessary.

Generally, it is the patient’s responsibility to insure that the required pre-certification is obtained.

Network providers should not request payment in full at the time of services, but may request a co-payment or deductible at this time. Often the required co-payment amount is listed on your ID card.

Please refer to your ID card for the current address to send provider bills. If you are unclear where a provider bill should be sent, please contact Northeast Health Direct.
